Generative Poetry Workshops

A weekly workshop designed to facilitate new drafts, the Generative Poetry Workshops offer prompts, readings, friendly discussion, and no critique.

Generative Poetry 15: Leaping into pools that move

Sundays May 31st-July 5th, 1-2pm PDT, a park in Berkeley
or
Thursdays June 4th-July 9th, 5-6pm PDT, zoom

$155 notaflof

In this class we experiment with clarity, obviousness, and confession; we reinvent gesture as form; we write Choose Your Own Adventure poetry; we read poems by Oki Sogumi, Lindsey Boldt, Lyn Hejinian, Bob Kaufman, and more! In between sessions, I’ll send prompts to complete at home at your leisure. The generative workshops are designed to inspire new poems, and do not involve critique.
